Perimi Privacy Policy

Effective: 10 October 2026

Perimi helps a family look after someone: it tells caregivers when that person asks for help, falls (Apple Watch), leaves a safe place, or when monitoring stops working. This policy explains what the app collects, why, and how to delete it.

Who is who

  • Caregivers sign in with a phone number or Sign in with Apple and receive alerts.
  • The monitored person uses an iPhone (and optionally an Apple Watch) paired by a caregiver with a one-time code. They do not create an account.

What we collect and why

DataFromWhy
Precise locationthe monitored iPhone and Apple Watchto tell caregivers when the person leaves a safe zone or is far from home, and to show where they are when they need help
Fall events and Get Help requeststhe monitored devicesto alert caregivers
Battery level, and whether location, fall detection and notifications are allowedthe monitored devicesto warn caregivers when monitoring is not working
Phone number, namecaregiversto sign in and to confirm it's yours, and to text and call caregivers about alerts
Account identifier (and the Apple ID token's anonymous identifier if you use Sign in with Apple)caregiversto sign in
Push notification tokencaregivers' iPhonesto deliver alerts
A device identifier we assign when a device is pairedthe monitored iPhone and Apple Watchto know which device sent a report, and to stop monitoring a device
Family name, the monitored person's name, home location, safe zonescaregiversto set up monitoring

We do not use any of this for advertising, we do not track you across other apps or websites, and we do not sell data. Perimi contains no analytics or advertising code.

Only caregivers in the same family can see a monitored person's data.

How long we keep it

  • Location reports and check-ins (heartbeats): 30 days.
  • Other events (falls, help requests, zone exits) and resolved alerts: 1 year.
  • Account and family data: until you delete your account.
  • Phone numbers that received calls or texts from drills: up to 3 days after the call or text (a daily clean-up deletes them once they are 2 days old), to enforce abuse limits, including after an account is deleted.
  • A caregiver iPhone's push notification token: until you sign out on that iPhone (signing out removes it from our service) or delete your account.

Who processes it for us

  • Supabase stores the data and runs the service.
  • Twilio sends sign-in and phone-confirmation codes and alert text messages, and places alert phone calls.
  • Apple delivers push notifications and, if you choose it, Sign in with Apple.

Deleting your data

  • Caregivers: in the app, Settings → Delete account. If you are the only caregiver of a family, the whole family is deleted with it: the monitored people, their devices, safe zones, alerts and location history. In a family with other caregivers only your own account is deleted. If you signed in with Apple, deleting your account also disconnects Sign in with Apple: Perimi is removed from your Apple ID's list of apps using Sign in with Apple.
  • Monitored devices: a caregiver can stop monitoring on the monitored iPhone (Family settings → Stop monitoring this phone); this disconnects the iPhone and its watch.

Not an emergency service

Perimi is not a medical device or an emergency service and does not contact emergency services. Detection and delivery can fail (for example without signal or battery). In an emergency, call your local emergency number.

Children

Perimi is not directed at children under 13, and caregivers must be adults.
